Natural light
The translucent membrane creates homogenous overhead lighting without glare or areas of shadow on the playing surface. The luminosity is astonishing at any time of the day. The translucent canvas provides an average of 800 Lux of lighting throughout the year during daylight hours.
Acoustic comfort
The curved shape of the cover and the membrane absorbs sound and thereby limits acoustic reverberation. This helps eliminate any echo that is annoying to both players and spectators! The acoustic reverberation time is 50% less than those required in the French standard NF P 90-207 for sports halls.
Temperate atmosphere
The structure benefits from low thermal inertia. A natural barrier, it does not store up heat in the summer and limits cold surfaces in the winter. These properties, intrinsic to the textile membrane coupled with the SMC2’s exclusive concept of hygrothermal regulation, offers playing comfort perfectly suited to sportsmen and women’s physiologies. Thermal comfort felt by players is 12° on an average over the year.
