The future largest athletics hall in Europe (nearly 10,000 m²) is being built in Miramas, in the South of France.
An ambitious project that brings together many partner companies all mobilized to bring this large-scale complex out of the ground.
The glue-laminated timber frame structure is designed by SMC2 with the architectural firms of Chabanne and RILL and the Valéry Calvi design office.
The building is covered by a double textile membrane and its translucent textile facades have received a technical assessment from the CSTB.
A look back on the use of this material, which allows natural light to pass through but filters out bad weather.
