Design and construction of a Happy Box play area in Istres (France)
This summer, the city of Istres in the south of France welcomed a Happy Box play area. This free to access public play area is 16m long, 16m wide and 11m high, i.e. 265m² of space available to children. 11 play clouds, 3 slides and 1 suspended cage allow children and adults to have fun.
The children can enjoy it without worrying about the weather thanks to the textile membrane on the roof and on the front. It protects the play modules from the weather, making this play area accessible all year round and at all times. The structure is a mixture of wood and steel.
