Construction of a tennis hall with a court in Lapeyrouse-Fossat (France)
SMC2 designed and built a covered tennis court in Lapeyrouse-Fossat in France. This hall is built with a mixed wood and steel frame and a textile membrane roof. Thanks to the translucency of the fabric, the town hall of Lapeyrouse-Fossat will be able to avoid the use of artificial lighting during the day, an economic gain in the operation of the sports building.
This indoor tennis court is dedicated to tennis as well as to the practice of sports for schools. The court has badminton courts, in addition to the tennis courts.
The combination of wood and textile membrane allows the creation of a tennis hall with a low environmental impact. The textile covering provides natural light and reduces sound reverberation for optimal acoustic comfort. Add to this a tempered atmosphere thanks to our hygrothermal regulation and natural ventilation systems, and sportsmen and women enjoy ideal playing conditions all year round.
For spectators, a small clubhouse is available with a window overlooking the tennis court. This makes it possible to comfortably watch the tennis match taking place in front of them. Changing rooms and sanitary facilities are also available on the ground floor.
