BOULODROME – CHOLET (FRANCE)
COMPLETION DATE 2023
SURFACE AREA 1 306 M2
Construction of a boulodrome in Cholet (49).
Construction of a 1,725 m² bowling alley covered by a textile membrane mounted on a mixed glulam timber and galvanized steel framework.
The upper part of the fabric facade is screen-printed, while the lower part is clad in steel. The building’s interior is clad in OSB boarding, with natural ventilation through grilles. The foundations are on Technopieux piles. Gutters and rainwater collectors are in powder-coated steel.
The translucent canvas allows pétanque to be played sheltered from the elements, while 500Lux LED lighting is provided for late-night games. The installation of double and sectional doors allows the building to be opened up to the maximum, so that the outside can also be enjoyed.
Spectators have not been forgotten in this boulodrome, as wooden benches have been integrated into the structure around the playing area.
