Design and construction of a tennis hall in Saint-Genis-Laval (France)
SMC2 has built a double tennis hall in Saint-Genis-Laval, in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region. The structure is built using a mixed timber and steel framework. The false metal posts are made of galvanised steel. The roof and facades are made of a textile membrane, ensuring optimum natural light for the site. The upper part of the cladding is a double-skin gable with an acoustic panel, insulation, rain screen, battens and Fundermax insulated panel in a plain colour.
The structure has been designed to offer sportspeople optimum playing conditions in both summer and winter, thanks to the ventilation system and dehumidifier. The use of wood and a textile membrane has resulted in a sports building that has little impact on the environment.
Adjacent to the double tennis court, SMC2 has also built a covered outdoor Boulodrome.
