A new sports complex in Lucenay
SMC2 has designed and built a complete sports complex, combining covered areas, dedicated sports zones and communal spaces to meet the diverse needs of athletes and local associations.
The project is organized around two main structures:
A multi-sport area of 885.6 m² (41 m x 21.6 m), covered by a glulam timber sports canopy with a textile membrane on two façades and on the roof. This lightweight and durable construction solution provides optimal natural light and year-round comfort for users. The colored screen-printing on the façade fabric adds a strong visual identity that blends harmoniously with the surroundings.
The sports canopy features an acrylic resin sports surface on asphalt and is enclosed with mesh fencing including a gated access point.
A complementary enclosed building of 319.18 m² (18.92 m x 16.87 m) houses a dance studio, changing rooms and a community room.
Built with traditional masonry and glulam timber framing, the structure is covered with insulated and waterproofed steel panels equipped with photovoltaic modules. The interior wood cladding creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
With this project, the municipality of Lucenay now benefits from a modern, functional and durable sports facility designed to promote physical activity and community well-being.
