Design and construction of a tennis hall in Villeurbanne in France

The town hall of Villeurbanne called on our team to build an indoor tennis hall with 3 courts in Villeurbanne. Lovers of tennis now have a sports building measuring approximately 57m x 36m to practice their sport.

The eco-responsible positioning of our company leads us to limit the carbon footprint of our projects. The Villeurbanne tennis courts are no exception to this rule, using noble materials with limited environmental impact. The framework is made of wood and steel. The facades and roofing are made of a textile membrane.

Regulated atmosphere, natural light and thermal comfort: this is the winning recipe of SMC2 guaranteed by our construction system. The translucency of the textile membrane allows sportsmen to benefit from sunlight (limiting the use of artificial lighting), while its flexibility limits the reverberation of sound. Its white colour reflects the sun’s rays to limit heat storage in summer. In addition, thanks to efficient ventilation and high-performance hygrothermal systems, sportsmen and women benefit from optimal conditions for playing their matches. The tennis hall thus assumes its status as an eco-responsible, economical and comfortable sports structure.
