ATHLETICS HALL – SAINT DIZIER (FRANCE)

Design and construction of an athletics hall in Saint Dizier (France)

SMC2 has built an athletics hall measuring approximately 82m x 17m. The framework is built with timber and steel structure and the roofing is made of a textile membrane to ensure light, thermal and acoustic comfort for the athletes while allowing them to practice their sport all year round.

The hall has higher ceilings at the ends of the building to allow the practice of various sports such as high jump.

For this project, SMC2 was also responsible for rainwater management, exterior joinery, heating and ventilation, and the interior layout of the hall. The athletics hall is equipped with wooden stands and seating, which SMC2 also installed.
